S&P 500 has best Q1 since 1998 . . .
It is noteworthy that the S&P 500, with a Q1 gain of 5.4%, had the best 1st quarter performance since 1998. Since 1970, the year has gone on to finish higher than Q1 in 92% of 12 instances where Q1 has had a gain of 5.4% or greater with the average total year gain of 20.7%. The trend remains up.
